In the middle of burping and me beating on his back, he will stay sound asleep. It doesn't matter whether we are burping him over our shoulder, sitting up, or any other random position. He sleeps through it. Unfortunately, this sleeping thing can sometimes make getting him to actually burp impossible.
He also likes to fall asleep after 5 minutes of eating. I have since given up on trying to wake him. Earlier in his life, we would try tickling him, undressing him, and even ice. He can sleep right through these. We do, however, change his diaper halfway through eating. That seems to work well...
He will also sleep through whatever way we choose to hold him. Here he is being held under his arms with his body just dangling in the air. Does he care? Does he notice? No. He's still sleeping....
This little personality quirk ought to be fun when it's time to get this little guy ready for kindergarten in a few short years. I'm afraid a few tardies may occur....
